Did you know Allegiant Air offers FREE baggage and other travel perks to eligible military members, veterans, and their families?

If you've ever booked a budget airline ticket only to watch the price climb after adding luggage, you're going to love this one!

Through the Allegiant Honors program, eligible travelers can enjoy benefits like:

🎖️ What's Included?

🧳 Two FREE checked bags, each weighing under 100 pounds
🎒 One FREE carry-on bag and one personal item
🐾 One FREE pet traveling in the cabin
✈️ Priority boarding
💼 Waived oversized baggage fees, within program limits

And here's the best part: Veterans qualify, too! You don't have to be active duty or retired military to take advantage of these perks.

🚨 My Biggest Tip: DO NOT Prepay for Your Bags!

If you're eligible for Allegiant Honors, don't pay for bags during checkout just because the website is prompting you to add them.

Instead, bring your military or veteran identification to the Allegiant ticket counter at the airport, where an agent can verify your eligibility and apply your baggage benefits.

It's MUCH easier to have your free bags added at the counter than to deal with trying to get a refund for baggage fees you've already paid!

Yes, it feels strange and uncomfortable showing up on travel day with no bags listed on your reservation, but that's how I've found the process works best!

Just arrive early enough to allow time for verification and checking your luggage.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 What About Family Members?

Eligible spouses, domestic partners, children, and dependents traveling on the same reservation can also receive Allegiant Honors benefits.

How Do You Claim Your Benefits?

Bring acceptable proof of military service, such as a Veteran ID Card, DD214, or driver's license with a veteran designation.

Travel tip: If you've already paid for eligible baggage fees, Allegiant says you can contact Customer Care or their airline attendants directly at the counter about a credit after your military status is verified.
